Does anyone ride their horse in hoof boots. I used Old Macs on my TB's front hooves with success but my percheron cross has big round feet and the only boots I have found are Boa boots. Anyone out there got any suggestions or experiences with Boa's. I like in the UK.
Re: Hoof boots
We use different styles of the Ol' Macs on our different horses, but I do use the Boas on my Percheron Mare due to her round foot. They fit well (especially with the optional gaiters) and provide protection for the whole hoof. Since I didn't want to have have her shoed all the time this is a great alternative. Does that sound like an ad or what? In my personal experience, I like them...

Hi there!
I've used Boa boots too and had a great experience with. You really need the gaitors though to make sure they don't rub on the coronary band. Gypsy gold doesn't chink or glitter, it gleams in the sun and neighs in the dark.
