Hi everyone, I have a little update..

Hi all, I see the board has been quiet lately and thought I would send out an update on my horses.

First of all Miss Mira May went to training in Lancaster, PA. I found myself a great Amish trainer and Mira is now broke and I rode her for the very first time on Saturday. It's been a long wait but well worth it. She was so good but is as lazy as they come. She is also learning how to drive. He brought her a beautiful harness and he said that she was born to drive. Well of course she was, she's a percheron. She has lost some weight (but really needed too) and looks great!

Moose Man has been training for show and doing so well but.. The noise coming out of him was loud and sounded really bad so I had him scoped on Friday and he has laryngeal hemiplegia. (ROARS) The one side is completely paralysed. But he is doing very well and we will continue to work him but only in a walk, trot.
Nothing to hard for this boy.. We all continue to love and spoil him.

Tessie is still going STRONG!! Her cancer has come back but nothing we can't handle. She still enjoys and loves life.

We had a baby born at the barn 2 weeks ago, a little QH. His name is Requested Invitation and we call him Quest. The owner had lost her baby 2 years ago when the mare had a baby with a WRY nose. The baby had to be put down so this one we all watch come into the world perfectly heatlhy. What a joy..

Tessie is put out with the mare and baby and has already taken over as step mom. The baby plays with her and follows her all around while mommy is grazing.

So that's it for me for now and I hope to get some pictures of Mira May in saddle up soon.

It is great to hear that things are really working out well for you. You so deserve it! I'm excited to see pictures of Mira under saddle. That has just got to be completely thrilling for you!

Thanks for the wonderful update. Boy! You've had lots of excitement in your life. Things are never dull with horses, huh?

Can't wait to see any all photos you have to share, particularly baby pictires!!

Great update! Sorry to hear about Moose and the roaring but, you are so right that he can still be a great part of your family. I wonder what he'd think about going on trail rides?

Can't wait to see pictures of Mira! She was born in 2006, right? Time flies!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Our lab top at home crashed and I'm still not able to post pictures. But I did go see Mira this past weekend and she is doing great!! I took the kids from our barn and they drove her all over the place. She is very sane and is now a power house. My fat baby is slim and trim. Full of muscles and power. The kids rode her and then I took her for a ride with the trainer. Mira is so not spookie at all. There is no head tossing or dancing around. She is just wonderful.

The trainer called last night because he just got his brand new cart and had taken her out for a drive. He wants to put shoes on all 4 before riding on the road. Which I told him to go ahead. But thru the back fields he said she is just loving it.

GREAT to hear Debbie! Isn't it a treat to hear when our draft is doing well at the trainers? Can't wait to see photo's when your finally able to post some and are out driving.
